Everything you need to know before joining
🎧 Is there audio content or a podcast?
Yes. Some articles come with audio content — reports, stories, testimonials — grouped under the « Audio / Podcast » category. You can listen to them straight from the site, and a subscription feed (RSS) lets you follow them in your usual listening app. We produce our own content and also relay podcasts from the kink community.
🌐 What is kinkevent.fr?
kinkevent.fr is a kink community platform, free and secure, open to adults everywhere. It lets consenting adults meet, organise events and share content in a caring, respectful setting. The site is strictly for people aged 18 and over, and is available in French and English.
🔒 Is it discreet and secure?
Yes. Email verification is mandatory, sign-up IP addresses are recorded and VPNs are detected. Your photos are protected by a watermark and you control the visibility of every item (public, friends, limited access, private). We comply with the GDPR — among the strictest privacy laws in the world.
💳 Is it free?
Signing up, browsing and taking part are free. From 1 November 2026, posting photos and videos and unlimited messaging will be reserved for donors, founding members and members who have sponsored someone; everything else — posts, comments, forum, events — stays open to all. The site runs on voluntary donations, with no ads and no data resale.
✓ What is certification?
Certification proves a member is genuine. You can get certified by being sponsored by two certified members, or by sending a selfie with your ID that a moderator reviews. Certified members appear first in searches and can create events.
🎉 What kind of events are there?
Parties, munches, outings, workshops... created by the members themselves. Certified members can organise their own events; everyone can sign up. Clubs and partners also list their nights in the directory.
📍 Is geolocation required?
The city you provide when signing up is used to place you approximately (city level) on the Kinkymap and in proximity searches. Precise GPS remains 100% opt-in: you turn it on only if you want radius-based search. Only approximate coordinates are stored, never your exact address, and you can disable geolocation at any time from your profile.
🔎 Is the site accessible?
Yes. Contrast and text sizes follow WCAG accessibility guidelines. A text-size setting, available from the entry page and the tools menu, enlarges the whole display (up to 130%) for more comfortable reading.
🌐 Is the site available in English?
Yes. kinkevent.fr is bilingual, French and English. A selector switches between the two languages right from the entry page, before you even sign up, then at any time from the menu. Content written by members stays in its original language.
💬 How does the live chat work?
The right-hand sidebar shows members who are online. You can declare what you're up for with the « Available tonight » button and up to 3 hashtags. Click 💬 to open an instant mini-chat: text messages and ephemeral photos. Video calling between members is coming soon.
🛍️ What is Kink in France?
A directory of kinky shops, creators and artisans (sex shops, leather makers, lingerie, accessories...). Each shop presents its products; you can reserve items for collection — no online payment, you pay the seller directly.
